prefix('INFO') returns decorator, which is then applied to status. When status() is called it runs wrapper, which prints 'INFO' with end=': ' (no newline after the colon-space), then calls the original status() which prints 'all good'. Both outputs land on the same line because end=': ' suppresses the trailing newline of the first print. This factory pattern is exactly how real logging decorators work - the label is captured in the closure when the decorator is applied, not when the function is called.
