A dict comprehension paired with zip is an alternative to dict(zip(...)) that lets you transform keys or values on the fly. Here k and v are unpacked from each (key, value) tuple produced by zip. d['b'] looks up the key 'b' and returns 2. Prefer dict(zip(keys, vals)) when no transformation is needed - it's shorter and equally readable. Switch to the comprehension form when you need to filter rows or apply a function: {k: v*10 for k, v in zip(keys, vals) if v > 1}.
