StopIteration when exhausted

After a generator yields its last value and the function returns, calling next() again raises StopIteration. A for loop handles this automatically - it catches StopIteration and stops iteration cleanly. When you call next() manually, you need to handle StopIteration yourself or use next(g, default) to supply a fallback value.
